Kenwood DRV-N520 Dash Cam

Kenwood’s DRV-N520 is a dedicated dash-camera that is designed to be mounted ahead of the rear view mirror in your vehicle, and is designed to constantly record your journeys in the event of an accident. Built to be connected to and controlled by Kenwood’s DDX9 and DNX9 series multi-media AV source units, the functions of the DRV-N520 are all monitored and controlled by the touchscreen of the support source unit. The image from the camera can be displayed on the main unit’s screen, and if an accident occurs the DRV-N520 automatically saves the footage of the incident so that it can be used as evidence of what had occurred.

The DRV-N520 will also warn you of an imminent head-on collision and even warn you of inadvertent lane departure, making it a potentially life saving device and a must-have for truck drivers, taxi and Uber drivers, couriers, and anyone who spends a lot of time in their vehicle.

Full HD video recording is available in a compact design to document any occurrence or disturbance you may come across while driving your vehicle. With HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology, it can record video at dark and bright locations, without underexposing or overexposing the image. A gyro sensor will automatically detect when there is an event and separate a portion of memory within the 8GB SD card for viewing. Additional safety and warning features will detect and alert you of a possible forward collision begins to occur.

The Kenwood DRV-N520 intergrates seemlessly with the DNX9017DABS, DDX917WS, DNX9170DABS and DMX7017BTS units allowing for full control and driver assist functionaility.

Recording at 27 frames a second creates a natural and progressively smooth video.

With latest motion detection technology, DRV-N520 automatically activates and records video when motion is detected near the front of the vehicle. During parking mode, the security indicator will have a deterrent effect against car theft or vandalism.
